Premium HDR video playback
Media Foundation, Direct3D 11 and DirectComposition use the decoders available in Windows. AV1 playback requires the system AV1 component.
Slideshows music and controls
Image preloading, zoom up to 130%, a fading filmstrip and music that adapts to whether videos contain audio.
Optional Windows integration
Choose Open with entries, the folder menu and thumbnail provider during setup. Existing default applications are not replaced automatically.
RAW and .set sidecars
Reads the non-destructive adjustments Studio saves alongside photographs.

File Explorer
Find your files in File Explorer too.
Integration is a separate setup choice, also available when installing Photo-View alone. File Explorer controls thumbnail display and caching; open the file in Photo-View to assess its HDR rendition.
